Jetpacks, ATLS and the Ghost of Titan – Let’s Talk Mobility in Star Citizen
Jetpacks, ATLS and the Ghost of Titan – Let’s Talk Mobility in Star Citizen
So, with the recent addition of the ATLS powersuit and its fancy “soft landing” feature, it’s starting to feel like we’re finally moving toward the long-awaited age of true infantry mobility. And that’s awesome — because whether you’re a drop-pod pilot or just trying not to ragdoll down a cliff, having a proper jetpack system is a game-changer.
But here’s the thing — if mobility is finally on the table, let’s not stop halfway.
Where’s the dedicated jetpack backpack? Something modular and light for recon roles and pilot egress? Something that doesn’t require you to dress up like a refrigerator just to hop a ridge.
And most importantly — can we please get terrain navigation tools integrated into it? Because half the time, soft-landing into a rocky canyon is just the beginning of a long, sad hike.
And now, a ghost story…
Remember the Titan powersuit? Big, mean, heavy exosuit. Teased years ago. Looked like it could bench-press a Cutlass and still have time to crush some Vanduul skulls for dessert.
And then… nothing. Silence. No follow-up, no roadmap, not even a dev comment.
So here’s a wild theory: Did ATLS silently replace Titan? Or is Titan just... hanging out somewhere with Theatres of War and proper elevators?
Either way — this is exactly the moment to expand the power armor ecosystem, not collapse it into a single suit.
Give us options. Give us mobility suits for fast infantry. Give us heavy exosuits for siege ops. Give us jetpack modules with proper landing assist and integrated nav tools.
TL;DR: ATLS is cool, but don’t let the Titan dream die quietly. If jetpacks are in, power armor diversity should be too. Some of us want to fly. Others want to stomp. And a few of us just want to survive the landing without faceplanting into a boulder.
Let’s keep pushing.
(Also, maybe give trees slightly fewer murder instincts. Just saying.)
