Does Stalker 2 deserve Game of the year?

I personally believe the answer is yes, even if there are still releases like Indiana Jones yet to come.

Playing Stalker 2 has been so fresh and outside the same old AAA formula, rather it has returned hope that the industry can actually do something right for a change.

We can argue that the game has released in a state reflective of early access. But given the speed and hard work GSC has done to respond, that point is mute to me. Look at last years GOTY Bulders Gate 3 and its launch.

For me personally, I can see rhe genius and the love pit into this game. It will be a masterpiece, without a doubt.

That said, non of its competitors like Activision, of Machine Games, or Ubisoft had to build a masterpiecein the middle of a war zone. Power outages, loss of internet are the small stuff. The loss of family and friends to a senseless war, while still creating this masterpiece is nothing less than a miracle.
