Do you think they’re gonna hang the bodies of the players who took part and died in the rebellion over the staircase in season 3, similar to what they did with Byeong-gi and the corrupt guards in season 1?
In Season 1, Byeong-gi and four corrupt guards (a Manager, two Soldiers, and a Worker (No. 28)) were used as an example as to how everyone is treated “equally” and should play fairly by the rules of the game, and what happens when you try to break the system and try to give a player an advantage in return for doing their dirty work.
In Season 2, twelve players led by Gi-hun attempted to start a Revolt against the games. Three players managed to survive another day (Gi-hun, Hyun-ju, and Dae-ho) while nine were eliminated. - Of the eliminated, Young-il/In-ho faked his death and returned to his role as the Frontman, killing Byeong-su and Han-nam in the process; Players 145, 324, 206, and 072 were shot dead; while Gyeong-seok was shot down by a Soldier who was likely No-eul, his fate is left up in the air (likely survived tho). Jung-bae was later shot dead by the Frontman in front of Gi-hun, becoming the seventh and last player to be killed during the Rebellion.
My take is that in Season 3, before the fourth game begins and as the players are filing up the stairs, it’s very likely that the seven deceased players would be hung up for display over the staircase, as a warning to the surviving players of the consequences of trying to fight the system. Jung-bae would likely be hung dead-center of it all (a similar position to Byeong-gi) just to mess with Gi-hun’s psyche and further the guilt of his plan backfiring and being doomed from the very start, and being solely responsible for the players’ deaths, even if that wasn’t his intention.
