SQUID GAME SEASON 3!!
This is my theory:
Gi-hun will likely become the Frontman after realizing that Squid Game is, in some ways, fairer than real life. The entire plot revolves around convincing him of this idea. In Season 1, despite having the freedom to leave, 91% of the players chose to return, showing that life outside is even harsher. The game at least follows clear rules, unlike the unfair world outside.
Gi-hun might change a few things, like making sure players fully understand that death is the consequence before they start. The way they die could even be seen as euthanasia, and the organ harvesting process might be made transparent, showing that their sacrifice helps others. He could also prevent chaotic elements like night fights to maintain order.
Player 001, Oh Il-nam, reinforces this idea when he asks, "Are you willing to sacrifice a few for the good?" This question reflects the core philosophy behind Squid Game... that in a world where survival is already brutal and unfair, a structured system of competition may be more justifiable. The real world is filled with suffering, where people die due to poverty, illness, or sheer bad luck. In contrast, Squid Game at least provides a clear chance to win, making the risks transparent and the rewards life-changing.
Gi-hun, despite his initial disgust, may come to see this logic. He might accept that the game, if properly managed, can offer a more honest and structured version of survival. By eliminating unnecessary cruelty, increasing transparency, and ensuring that those who participate do so with full knowledge, he could make the game a "fairer" system... one where sacrifice is not meaningless but serves a greater purpose.
