During his run he: 1. Survived RLGL only because Sae-byeok decided to not get vengeance and push him forward 2. Survived Dalgona (probably) only because Mi-nyeo dropped him the lighter, which she was lucky to have smuggled in the first place 3. Was literally told what the next game was going to be by the doctor with insider info and could make his team accordingly. You could argue that he’d be sexist and only pick strong “athletic looking” men for his team and survive tug of war anyway 4. Survived Marbles because the guards uncharacteristically let him change the 1st game when he was losing, and THEN a tiny pebble saves his ass when Player 278 is on the verge of winning the game with the last marble. It was headed directly for the hole and the pebble stopped it from going on AND knocked Deok-su’s marble in. Also they didn’t establish second contact rules but the guard decided 278 lost anyway

Also lucky nobody snuck up behind him and stabbed him during the fights during the night
