Finally got to ride my new Warpig. Hated it.

Experienced rider here. 5' 9", 140lbs. I have experience with volume shifted boards; the 146 Burton Nug is my favorite board of all time. I decided to circle back to this kind of board with the Warpig. I went back and forth between the 142 and 148, and settled on the 148.

Maybe a mistake, because man, this thing is wide and hard to turn. I have size 8.5 boots and M bindings, and barely any overhang. Felt like I had to push through the board to initiate turns. The waist width is less than a cm wider than my Nug, but I guess that's enough to make a difference? I had read it was supposed to be nimble and quick edge to edge, but feels anything but that. I guess I could try sizing down to 142 which has a narrower width, but that feels a bit like chasing losses.

Edit: I increased the forward lean and it was much more rideable, but still not in love with it.
