How do you handle bookkeeping for your side hustle?

I’ve been talking to a lot of freelancers and small business owners lately, and one thing keeps coming up—bookkeeping sucks.

Some people have a ton of transactions and need detailed reports, but a lot of early-stage side hustlers just need the basics: W9s, 1099s, and a simple way to track profit and loss. They don’t want to deal with spreadsheets or overpriced software.

Curious—how do you guys handle it? Are you using something specific, or just winging it with spreadsheets and hoping for the best?
