Show stock status

I have a shop built on Dawn so it's pretty basic but we sell things that have many variants but we only stock common versions, and the rest get drop shipped from the manufacturer. I'm trying to find a way to indicate if the items are in stock locally or if they're a drop ship item.

I'm tempted to play with creating a warehouse called drop ship and see what does? Does anyone have any other ideas?
