Sewing Mat - Which dinensions? Which brand?

Hi, im looking to get my girlfriend a cutting mat for christmas. In germany the dimensions are either 90cmx60cm or 90cmx120cm, would you recommend going for the bigger one? And is there a specific brand or so that’s particularly good? Thanks in advance ☺️🙌
