Flame Retardant Workwear Fabric

I’m a petite woman in school for welding/metal fabrication and am dismayed at my PPE options. I have the know-how so I’d love to make my own while I’m on winter break! I’m looking for flame retardant workwear fabric (canvas, twill, etc) and upon doing a cursory google search it’s seeming like everything I’m finding is for wholesale. Has anyone seen a source for a normal person to get some FR yardage?
