What is the Best depiction of an actual apocalypse as it unfold on the screen.

I just watched episode seven of the TV series Paradise on Hulu. I’ve been racking my brains to try to remember a movie or TV show that depicted the actual event as it began that I thought did as good job and I can’t come up with one. I’m wondering what other people experience with that is? What is your favorite, actual depiction of the apocalypse breaking out and unfolding at the very beginning?
