Sandler vs. NEPQ: A Clash of Sales Systems
Millionaire mentor:
A couple years ago I ran into a successful entrepreneur, multimillionaire who became my mentor, he said "Sandler's book is my favorite book on sales ever, I highly recommend it." I read it and it became my favorite book too.
Sandler:
So I started implementing his framework, as an former engineer I love the step by step approach, love how he handles potential "budget" issues by addressing that upfront, give me a range for what budget you'd like to invest in this, asking people to take a decision the same day of the presentation.
Marketing Agency course:
Last year I bought a 5 figure marketing agency course, they were only using NEPQ, or at least Bill Walsh's version. Discovery + Presentation + Objection Handling.
Issues with NEPQ:
After applying it, I started running into issues where people would tell me I need to talk to my accountant to see how much money we have to invest, etc... and even a guy who said ok I like it let's get started at the begining of the month next week... or need to leave the call in a rush once they hear the price etc... all of them ended up ghosting me, and I suspect it was a price issue.
That's when I started thinking about Sandler again! Even if I like the fact that you're not talking about prices upfront, which means that perhaps you're able to charge a lot more? than using Sandler's because you're not asking what their budget is first and then adjusting your proposal, but you're
Question:
So I was wondering, is there anyone here who has experience with both, who could tell us their opinion, which one is best and why? the pros and cons of each? and for marketing agencies sales?
Thanks in advance!
