Braking in Bear 650

I got beat 650 about a month back, 500 plus kms and first service done a day back.

Any fellow bear 650 users or users who took test drive. Did you notice braking issues? Especially with the rear brake. Mine barely works. The service guy says that’s how it is and I have to use the front and back in equal quality for the braking to work well ( which pretty much feels like them finding the easy way out)

I rode other RE bikes in past and the braking works well on them (Himalayan, 350, hunter etc) I did not try interceptor or continental. Do the other 650s have less bite in brakes?

Service guys will be picking my bike on Monday to do a complete check, but before they can come with other illogical explanations, I wanted to any thoughts on this from the community.
