Spent 8,000 robux on ads and dissapointed with results

Roughly 8,000 R = 28 'ad credits'. That was basically all of my robux and was my final chance to get my game up there.

Kinda venting here, but yesterday morning I pooped out all of my robux on a sponsorship. I noticed that it works different than how i remember before the whole ad update (many years ago). Strangely, instead of giving me a constant stream of new players, it would remain empty and then just randomly give a dramatic sudden spike of players, filling up multiple servers. That was nice yes, however they all slowly left as no more were joining and then the concurrent count back to 0, from this ad there were only 2 spikes. Maybe my game is just that boring that nobody wants to play but i did not pay 8k robux to just get 5 minutes of fame with no further changes to my game. Its really sad cuz it kindof crushed my entire motivation for it as my goal was to reach at least 5 stable concurrent players. To me it just feels like these 'ad credits' system is designed for the larger corporations to get a head start and just leaves us smaller devs behind. Despite that, I wonder how its even possible to just somehow get almost 200 players joining within 10 minutes and then gone for the next few hours. I honestly preferred the old ad system where i would just get more people joining per hour or smth.
