What features are you looking for in your restaurant website as an owner?
Edit: This is not a sales pitch!
I'm creating a "system" for restaurant websites and I would like input from professionals on what they are looking for as a website owner. I'm looking to build a foundation for small businesses and offer a quality, practical experience.
So far this is what I came up with:
1. Data that changes often must be super simple for restaurateurs to change themselves. That means food menu, opening hours, job openings, or photographs. By simple I mean really, really easy for total non-tech people.
2. Create a specific style for a few niches. So I will create a bistro/middle-class one, a fine dining one, and a deli one that can all be customized to the customer's personal brand. Both larger setups as well as one-pagers.
3. I'm not going to add reservation systems more complex than a contact form with some options, because I firmly believe there are very solid external options out there. If there is a complex need for such a thing, I will advise people on these and add them to the website.
This is my prototype one-pager for a bistro: https://wordpress-1151924-4277805.cloudwaysapps.com/ there are more styles in the pipeline and this one is still a work in progress.
Would you guys help me with your suggestions and experiences? What would you like if you had the choice and what are your bad experiences?
I'd very much like to have some conversations in the comments to learn more about practical problems you've encountered with your websites.
TIA, Joe
