The disrespect

Being unemployed wouldn't nearly be as bad if it wasn't for the sheer disrespect we get. I went over to my dads house for dinner last night. He had a large amount of his fellow boomer friends. His friends spent what felt like an hour disrespecting me. They kept telling me how lazy I was for not putting more effort into job hunting. I told them that I was looking as hard as I could. They simply responded with the canned response of "Well then how come you aren't working?" I preceeded to explain to them how applications are often frequently being filtered out with A.I. or algorithms and how alot of other people in my age group aren't even getting interviews anymore because our apps are immediately being rejected. Their response "Now your talking science fiction nonsense. That doesn't happen. Back on my day I could find a job within days even without experience. You just want to be a socialist bum" Boomers control most of society. And they see us as being solely respon for not being able to find a job. To them, we are doing this on purpose somehow
