Bumpy blocks

I‘m making the Alaska rainbow quilt blocks, and the middle part of them bumps out on all of them. I have hand pressed the seams open as suggested in her tutorial videos, but is there something else I should be doing? I‘m hoping this will come out with ironing but am worried now to continue the next few blocks. Is this normal in complex blocks? Please help me put my mind at ease.
