Unforgettable was truly unforgettable.

Recent album competition made me realize (once more) how great of an album Unforgettable was by Imran Khan. Bro was ahead of his time. It wasn't mind blowing lyrics wise, but the sound and the overall songs were too good. I was young and to be honest, I wouldn't have been big on music at all if it wasn't for this album. My nana was a massive music fan and I got a lot from him. He was old school and he HATED new punjabi music. His list of favorite artists would include Kuldeep Manak, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahab, Surjit Bindrakhia, Yamla Jatt sahab etc. The only new age artist he liked were Imran Khan and Sidhu MooseWala.

Starting from the first song, Amplifier..I don't even have words, how iconic. Moving to Aja We Mahiya, a very sad song that gets you in your feels. Then there was Hey Girl which had brilliant production. The work Eren E had done was insane. Peli Waar's rock music and Imran Khan singing on that music gets me hyped everytime, especially towards the end of the song.

Chak Glass and Nazar were two tracks that I enjoyed but I can tell it's an unpopular opinion. Moving onto Superstar and Gora Gora Rang, Superstar was my fav song around 2015 and it was only dethroned by a certain song released in 2017 that shaped the industry moving further. Gora Gora Rang was phenomenal, the music, the lyrics and the reception was great. The part where Khan says "Tere bajon rehna hun, hoya eh mohaal ni....Apne dewaane da tu kar le khayaal ni". Next level stuff if you ask me.

Moving towards the next 3 songs, Bounce Billo was nice but the repeated "BOUNCE BILLO BOUNCE" was just a bit too much. Ni Nachleh, great song, may not be top 5 of this album but was just too vibey, you will defo bop your head. Then there's 40 Pra, what a great and funny concept about 40 brothers and all, lyrics vise it may not be something out of this world but as I said, the vibe these songs created was insane.

Lastly, the final 3 of the album. Coming up first, Bewafa, arguably Imran's greatest song. I don't need to tell you how goated this song is. You already know. Then there's Nai Rehna which is a bit underwhelming imo but it's not bad. Qott Ghusian Da was also underwhelming but it wasn't bad to the point I'd say it's a skip.

Overall, I'd say that for me, this album had no skips. Every single song on this album provides a massive dose of sweet nostalgia. It's crazy how this man has built a legacy on just 1 album, his recent song Humankind was really good and I hope he makes that much needed comeback to the industry, but I can easily say that he's not going to be forgotten because his work is unforgettable.
