Exploring Pune at Night

Pune is a city that you hate in the beginning, then slowly start to love it, appreciate it. At least that's what has happened with me.

It's been 4 months since I've shifted here and started working for a company. Almost every night, almost, I try to roam around the town with my buddy. And trust me, it's addictive. Usually it's a fixed route but sometimes it isn't.

Last night, after finishing our ice cream scoops at अतरंगी माणसं 🍨 at Sadashiv Peth(I think Richie Rich is better) we decided to go off the usual route.

From Sadashiv Peth we went to Khadki, by letting the Google Maps decide our path lol. And ended up near Khadki Martyr Cemetery. It was eerily quiet and barely lit with street lights. We stood there for a while. Heard that it's a cemetery of World War soldiers. No wonder it didn't feel creepy.

After that map decided to take us to Koregaon Park. We've had visited KP before, but not that thoroughly.

Upon entering KP, we went through the famous lanes where billionaire(s) like Poonawallas reside and boy, was I amazed by the lush greenery in that neighborhood. And what can I say about those palatial houses, gated estates. It's hard to believe that we are in the middle of the city. All that urban, hip crowd lol, pubs and clubs. Fancy restaurants and bars. It was like a different world in itself at night.

From there we decided to end our trip with tea at अभिनंदन स्पेशल lol. But this city has its own vibe and left me enchanted. :)
