Hiking in/near PV
My boyfriend and I are going to PV in feb/march so we're looking into things to do. We're from Canada, we both love hiking but we're used to doing pretty difficult summits with scrambles in the mountains in alberta/bc with gorgeous views.
This is NOT meant to be condescending or disrespectful or anything of the sort, i think mexico is absolutely beautiful and stunning and has so many great things to offer that Canada doesnt -- however, when researching things to do in PV hiking always comes up and I'm wondering how good the hikes actually are. We're not interested in doing anything guided like a tour and would like something thats not busy. I've looked at AllTrails and most of the hikes are rated moderate, which is fine, but in alberta/bc most hikes rated moderate are very overcrowded or just boring and not many great views (compared to the harder ones). I find its also really hard to tell how beautiful hikes are in photos.
We would like to make a day out of it if the hikes are worth it - but we don't want to waste a day if they're mediocre because there are so many other great things to do there. We're willing to rent a car for hikes that are further away too! We would looove any suggestions. Thank you!
