Just bought a $30,000 boat
Just bought a nice pontoon boat. Things change when you quit. It takes a little time, but it DOES change. Tomorrow instead of pissing away $2000 or more gambling like I used to do daily, I’m going to go enjoy the lake with my family. Just wanted to post to let everyone know who is struggling to quit, I was a gambling addict for 20 years. At my worst I was gambling about $10,000 per week. I lost A LOT. I could have paid for a million dollar house in cash with all of my losses and still had money left over. The important thing is I am done, have been done, and will continue to be. Quitting isn’t as hard as you think. You just need to do the things that you know you have to do to make it happen. Self exclude, make it impossible to gamble by whatever means necessary. After you go a while you stop thinking about it all the time. At this point in my life I could walk into a casino and not even be tempted to gamble because I know what happens even if I did only gamble once. Time to quit is now my friends. Start feeling really uncomfortable now and get it over with, there is great things on the other side.
