More Evidence That Redbubble Is Wretched

Hi,

First time posting here. For context, I recently got interested in Print on Demand to put art from my projects on merch, since I have a lot of sole commercial use images that I've commissioned from artists I trust since 2020.

After spending some time researching, I saw a lot of concerning things about certain websites, but some people said some positives, so it was hard to find out truly without trying some for myself. I regret Redbubble. Even for the 3 hours I wasted trying to set up the account yesterday. It was 3 hours too much. (I know people have worse horror stories with that place so I got off easy compared to them. But still, I want to add to the collective experience.) I was about to add the 5th piece of art when my account suddenly got suspended.

I sent in an appeal immediately with all the necessary information (photo with my details for proof that I'm not a bot and links to my social media that show that I exist).

And then I get this vague email today denying my appeal. So here I am. I'm going to share what I responded with:

[Your company is looking more and more concerning by the day.  I heard and saw a lot of bad reviews, but still felt like giving it a chance.  It couldn't be that bad, right?  Oh boy, maybe I dodged a bullet with this one.

"Your account may have been suspended for one of the following reasons:"

The fact that you won't give a specific reason adds to this concern.  As if you don't even know.

Let's narrow it down then:

"There was fraudulent activity connected to the account;" - I had tried to update my payment info, but for some reason your site doesn't allow me to put the full name (with my middle one) that I have on my checking account due to your strange 22 character limit.  So then I had to update it back again.  The suspension happened right afterwards.  Is this what triggered your account suspension protocol?

"the account was found to be in violation of our User Agreement and/or other published content policies;" - There was nothing illicit in the art.  Just creatures from mythology depicted tastefully.  I was adding art to merch that I have the sole commercial use rights to that I commissioned from artists I've worked with since 2020.  Is this what you didn't like?  That I had unique art that couldn't easily be copied without causing problems for people who might want to steal it?

"the account was connected to a previously disabled account."  - This is the fist time I've made an account with your company, so it's definitely not this one.

I'd like a specific answer and not have to assume that it's the same old same old from all the bad reviews about Redbubble.  But maybe it is.  And maybe every story about you and yours is true.

Get back to me about this.

Or...

Make damn sure that the art I uploaded never sees the light of day, from anyone who works at your company.  (Because I only ever got to put exactly 4 pieces up, which is below the threshold for it to be published in your marketplace.)  So if I see my art published and being sold without my control or consent, it's going to be a problem.  I take this very seriously.  And I will not be another notch in your belt of stolen art from creators.  I will make it into a severe headache for the both of us.  (And if I see it shared somewhere else out of spite, when I have not posted this art much, I may go so far as to track down if it came from you.)  I didn't want to have to go this route with you.  You have a very nice UI and I was feeling good about how easy it was to navigate.  But that might be the bait.  To lure people in and then shut their accounts down for "reasons" that you make up on a whim.  (Or maybe you have too much faith in a ban-bot that you have no oversight over.)

Either way, delete my art from your database.  Or let me back into the account for long enough to delete it myself.  Because I have lost interest in working with a company like this.  (Somehow, the reviews I found after you suspended my account made you look even worse.  And reveal a history of abject depravity in how you conduct yourselves.)

At the end of the day, this proves that like what people say, you and your company do not care about them.

P.S.
And to clarify your assumption "Thank you for understanding," I understand nothing.  Because you explained nothing.]

It might be overkill, but I'm done with companies walking over me. I wish for people to collectively walk away from them so these "businesses" can experience a total collapse. They do not deserve people's time.

Rant over.
