Advice for medical scribe job

Hi guys! Basically I just had an interview to become a med scribe at a private ophthalmology clinic. I loved the doctor I met with, she seemed pretty open to teaching me and I understand that I’ll spend most of my time following her and taking notes, with very little procedural help (but I do get to watch, and I will probably ask for more involvement down the line.) Another post on here said med scribe jobs are good for ~6 months and to get a LOR, but after that there’s not a point. This doctor said she was looking for longevity (completely fair) so ideally it would be a year + and I’d start getting paid after the “intro” period (didn’t specify how long, but also completely fair). Is it worth it to stay? I know med scribe isn’t as strong of a clinical experience as med assistant or EMT, but med assistant is hard to get here (in wa state u almost always need certification) and EMT is something I’d see doing in my gap year. What do you guys think?
