Take a full-time MA/clinical role instead of classes for a semester to study for the MCAT

Instead of taking a gap year after graduation, I'm thinking of taking a year off to study for the MCAT while working full-time (so I can still be enrolled as a full-time student without paying tuition/loans back). I'm a year ahead (so like I'm a second year with junior status right now) and want to take off next year and then come back for my final year of school while I'm applying to med school.

if anyone's done this/know of someone who's done this, I'm a little worried about how this would look on applications since I may/may not only take 1 course per sem for the next 2 sems and then complete my degree the year I'm applying to med school.
