What’s it like to have a transvaginal ultrasound?

Hi everybody! I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant, and have been scheduled for my first pregnancy ultrasound on the 17th of this month. They are doing a transvaginal and (possibly) an abdominal ultrasound as well.

I’m pretty comfortable with abdominal ultrasound, but I don’t know much about the transvaginal ultrasound, and I’m kind of nervous about the whole procedure.

I know it’s nothing major, but I am a little anxious because it’s something I don’t know much about. If anyone here has had one done before, could you briefly explain what they did during it? I appreciate you guys rooting my post. Thanks you!
