When should you throw your baby shower? (Or when did you)

I’ve read that majority of people do it about a month before birth, but I am worried about how miserable I could be during the last month hahaha. I would like to enjoy myself! I also really enjoy nesting and am looking forward to putting our nursery together with whatever gifts we’re blessed with so am wondering how early is too early? LOL.

For reference I’m still 1st trimester but was wondering if it’s in appropriate doing it late in the second!
