Why didn’t TheSound become popular in the 80‘s

Literally speechless right now… Discovered this Band yesterday and it instantly clicked for me. Jeopardy is such a masterpiece of punk music. Why didn’t Adrian Borland get any recognition at all from the music industry these days?!
