Waitstaff of Portland - Cash Tips?

Waitstaff of Portland - when I'm out for a bite and I can make it work I like to pay with card but tip with cash. Is this appreciated by waitstaff in 2025 or an annoyance? Just trying to do my best as a customer - thanks!
