did BANKS lose momentum because of ‘serpentina’ or does she simply have a niche audience?

She just dropped her fifth album “off with her head” and I’ve seen lots of people have given up on her. I wonder if it’s because of her album ‘serpentina’? did it damage her career for being a mid to bad album? She set the bar far too high with ‘goddess’ that I understand but will she have a breakthrough or renaissance again?
