Is $3,000 enough of a roll for $1/$2?
Quick disclaimer: I’d prefer answers from other serious players, and not a million degen robots saying “it depends” or “lol you don’t need a bankroll.”
Anyway, this game is a $1/$2 NL with a $200 cap. No rake. Softer than cotton candy and I’m 1000% sure I can beat it over the long term. Lots of loose-passive fish and very few thinking players. On one occasion I bluffed the turn with an A high flush draw, bricked, and still won at showdown.
Right now I normally just play with whatever is in my pocket and that feels bad for financial planning purposes. The amount in the title is roughly what I can afford. Is there any significant risk of ruin if I run into a downswing?? I understand variance can be cruel, but is it “lose 15 buy-ins to drunken farmers” cruel?
