Pokemon anime kai/best "shounen" season

hi, i took a look in older posts and i didnt find anything so im asking myself.

im a huge pokemon fan since pokemon gold, i played every game (too many times i should say) but i stopped watching the anime after pokemon advanced when i was a kid.

I lost any hope to see a full series like pokemon origins (i will read the manga sooner or later) so i wonder if is there any "kai" version (means episodes edited together without intros, recaps and fillers) or something similar, any season would work.

If not, what season would you suggest me to watch in order to see team rocket as little as possible? or which season is more "shounen" and a bit less childish?

(i do like jessie and james but they are way too repetitive in every very episode.

Im not asking to offend people who likes the show as it is now, i just miss to see ash training and fighting gyms, just personal tastes.
