How to ACTUALLY clean cartilage piercings?

So this is my third cartilage piercing I’ve gotten after my last two went horribly wrong and I needed to get surgery on my ear bc of a very severe infection. I’ve posted here before about how I was cleaning my piercings, and I’ve noticed that everyone has a different way of doing it. With my last two, I was told to clean them using saltwater solution and a Q-tip. They also told me to really clean around the hole, pushing the piercing out a little if I have to to really get in there. When I mentioned this in my previous posts, many people said you’re not even supposed to touch them like that, and also use saline solution instead of saltwater. So what is the best way to clean them? Should I spray them and not touch them at all? How do I remove crusts that build up? (Ps I got a double helix, 2 days ago.)
