Is it possible to recover data from formatted phones?

Hello, I need help from tech peeps please. Is it possible to recover data from a formatted phone? I just noticed my brother would often borrow or keep my previous phone after an upgrade. It feels sketchy knowing how much he knows about tech stuff. Hell he can even monitor a person unknowingly from their phones remotely from his and I'm seriously terrified.

What I only did to format the phone was press on wipe data from this method where you push the power and volume button at the same time. Please help, any help regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance. 😔
