Crispy-ish shell in electric guitar

Apologies if this is the wrong sub to ask this.

It used to be my cousin’s and has been unused for a real long time. He gave it to me, so i gave it a quick clean and found this shell thing stuck in between the pickups. Could it be roach related? What are the chances that this thing is infested?
