Input signal out of range
My setup had a main display which is mirrored onto a television. It’s been this way for a few years now. The main display suddenly displayed “input signal out of range” while the mirrored tv shows fine. There may have been a brief power surge, but I’m not sure. I’ve rebooted and tried adjusting the display settings.
I suspect it is the cable from the monitor to the PC since it is still displaying fine on the TV and the monitor shows the Dell logo upon reboot but doesn’t show anything beyond that. The problem is that it is an old monitor that requires an HDMI to DVI adapter cable and I don’t have a second one to swap it out to test. Is there anything else I should be trying before buying a new cable? Thanks!
