Are browser games dead?

I can understand that you can think this is offtopic but bear with me.

I thoroughly enjoyed browser games when I was a kid. I started with OGame, through BiteFight, Adventure Quest etc. I thought that they will prevail but the genre is almost dead now. The only game that is playable as of now is Fallen London. There is Travian which is awesome, but you need to not have a life to play it. I really enjoyed simple mechanics of those games and ongoing pace. I played a lot of idle games but most of them are really basic comparing to Fallen London or economy based games like Travian or OGame. Do you know any other games that are still playable and good also while we're at it?
