NIPT testing for gender of twins
My wife and I were expecting our first child, due date July 17, 2025. Everything has been optimal and she had her NIPT that confirmed we’d be having a little girl. Super stoked!
Today she had her first ultrasound and to our surprise, there’s two little babies in there. Shocking honestly but again, super stoked!
I asked the doctor who came in whether both are girls, considering the NIPT. He said we won’t really know until the anatomy scan in February. A boy and a girl would be great too but I really assumed it has to be two girls, right? Wouldn’t the NIPT have shown a Y chromosome?
Does anyone else have experience getting an NIPT before knowing they’re having multiples? We have to wait until next month and I’m so curious.
