Sherwood place or Green Ridges-anyone lived here?

I hope it's OK to post this. We are looking to buy our first home, and have seen a couple of properties in Sherwood Place and Green Ridges which seem to be cheaper than other properties in the area. We only moved here recently so aren't familiar with the area and wondered if anyone here is familiar with either of these two areas and if they are safe and nice areas?
