Not tracking steps on treadmill?

Hi! Curious if anyone has had a similar issue to this… I’ve had my gen 4 ring since December and haven’t had a problem tracking my workouts until today. I was on the treadmill for 20 min, about 1.5 miles and was tracking the workout through the record HR option. At the end of the walk I tried to complete the 6 min walk test, but afterwards it said it was unable to finish the test as I was either running or not walking and to try again. I hopped off the treadmill and noticed that the entire walk was only recorded for 0.2 miles. Any ideas as to what happened?
