Trimming XISO
I want to have flexibility for my original xbox backups and since games in iso format can work on both emulator and real hardware and also does not cause the problem of long filenames (for some games).
However, the game in redump format contains unnecessary data which can be removed, so will removing the date break the xiso or can it still be played on emulator and the real hardware.
Currently the process i use for trimming the xiso is as follows --
First rip the game and get it in redump iso format.
Then extract it on pc to get the game in folder format.
Finally again using the pc tools repack the game in folder format to xiso format, in this way the game is in xiso format so flexibility of playing on both emulator and real hardware and also cater to the problem of long filenames.
Will this approach work.
