Who started the whole "perc 30" bullshit?

Dealers where I live will try to sell me "real" perc 30s from the pharmacy, and when I tell them they're full of shit because percocet was never made in a 30mg pill they get pissed. I've tried to tell other addicts this and most people look at me like I'm stupid. How did this whole "perc 30" thing start? Who was the idiot who couldn't do a simple Google search?
