Follow up on the Post about openwrt introducing latency into the network.

So a couple days back, I made a post about openwrt introducing additional latency in my network,

I have a TP Link Archer Ax23 V1.2 which is running openwrt 24.10.0-rc5, and an ISP oem ONU router () which I was using in bridge mode.

This is the screenshot of when I'm using openwrt as the main router, and the modem as just a bridge (openwrt wan port connected to modem lan port, openwrt wan config set to static ip), the unloaded latency is pretty high, I know the loaded latencies (buffer bloat) can be fixed with SQM, but I'm worried about the too high unloaded latency here.

Now, when I turned my modem into route mode and hooked up my pc directly to it, The unloaded latencies get exponentially worse, but! the loaded latency is pretty good.

Now I understand that people are going to be infuriated by seeing that buffer bloat, but hear me out!
I used openwrt as a dumb wired AP for the modem (modem in route mode, moden lan ip 192.168.1.1 and openwrt in the same ip pool, 192.168.1.250, disabled the wan interface and lan dhcp) and the results were similar to hooking up the pc directly to the modem.

Experts please tell me what's wrong, why can't I have the unloaded latency of the modem on the openwrt router when using the modem in bridge mode (Note: I have tried the modem in router mode, and openwrt as dhcp client mode too, still openwrt is causing the unloaded latency to go near the 30s).

I'm on a fiber connection, with roughly 100Mbps up and down.

Now the part about the unloaded latencies, so I play Call of Duty Mobile often and I've felt the difference between the pings, when I used to play with openwrt configured as the main router, I used to get pings in the late 40s to 50s. Now that I play with the modem configured as the main router, I get pings in the late 30s to mid 40s.

So that was all about my problem, experts please help me out!
