Air Travel / Disassembly / Carry On / Etc etc
Bought a Onewheel Pint on thursday to help with some filming gigs. Got some falls out of the way and it worked well for me. I am looking to fly with it in a few days for another gig. When I search I see a lot of people taking the Pint as a carry on, but that is not an option for me (overhead bag is all essential camera gear). I've watched a couple of disassembly videos and below are my questions (in bullet form for easy digestion):
- Is there a way to disconnect it from the controller housing?
- Does the battery housing have the watt hour on it?
- Does the battery itself have WH listed?
- Have any of you traveled with a disassembled or partially assembled Pint? If I leave it mostly assembled (empty battery housing, loose screws, etc), I'm concerned the airline will pull me back assuming there's batteries in the housing...
- Any general tips?
Side question: Any suggestions on portable AC chargers? Not enough battery to make it through the day, but flying with it was more important. Thanks!
