Any reason to use MP4 over Fragmented MP4? Does the latter have any known issues?

Hey everyone, so at the moment I do recordings in MP4 format, which I know is risky in case of a crash or power outage. I'd like to switch to Fragmented MP4 now that it's an option, but I can't seem to find any information on whether or not there's currently issues with it. Would it be safe to switch over? Any loss in quality or risk of other issues? Thanks so much for any information!
