Sophomore Random Roommate

I might be doing a random roommate for next year (sophomore yr) and I was wondering…what are the chances I end up with a psycho? I read some roommate horror stories on reddit and it’s kind of scaring me.

If I select a room before the other person does, can the person see my preferences on like cleanliness or sleep schedule? And will NYU do the same thing as they did for freshman where they match people based on those preference questions?

On the other hand, if you got a good random roommate, please reply so I can reassure myself lol.
