Philosophy Meetup - Sunday, Mar 9, 12 PM @ Work Café Santander (Williamsburg)
Hi NYC philosophers,
We're organizing another meetup for anyone interested in discussing philosophy and connecting with like-minded people in the city. Here's the plan:
🗓 When: Sunday, Mar 9 at 12 PM
📍 Where: Work Café Santander, 85-87 N 6th St, Williamsburg
For this session, we’ll be diving into the essay Famine, Affluence, and Morality (read it here). In this paper, Peter Singer argues that people in affluent countries are morally obligated to take action to prevent death and suffering in poorer parts of the world.
Feel free to join whether you’ve had time to read the article or not—there’s always room for thought-provoking discussion. If you’re interested, drop a comment or message u/Rare-Salt-7607 or me. Looking forward to meeting you all and hearing your insights!
