Easier Nuzlocke-inspired Challenge Idea

I'm trying to make nuzlocke-inspired challenge which aims to be less frustrating than a real nuzlocke. On my previous Nuzlocke runs, find that 4 main problems ruin the fun:

  • Party getting wiped

  • Having to do lots of grinding

  • Having to restart from scratch when losing all pokemon

  • Overlevelling being the easiest way to win

  • Healing items and battles style shift make normal battles too easy.

The following rules are what I'm thinking of using to fix the problems stated for a more enjoyable but admittedly easier playthrough:

  • Catch 1st pokemon you encounter in each area as usual.

  • Maximum 1 pokemon dies per battle. If multiple pokemon faint, the highest level fainted pokemon dies. If multiple fainted pokemon share the highest level, the one which fainted first dies.

  • You can only grind after losing a battle, and not past the highest level pokemon you lost to.

  • Once you enter a new area, you must battle every trainer in that area before you can leave.

  • Battle style set.

  • No healing items in battles.

  • Must nickname all pokemon.

  • Duplicate clause.

These rules have some problems of their own, but I think they will make the game more fun and less frustrating, even if it wouldn't be a real nuzlocke. Any suggestions/criticism is welcome.
