May I ask, why does everyone prefer og ninja gaiden 2 over sigma even though sigma has more content?

I haven't played og 2 YET, I will be after I get my new PC so that I can emulate It. I am not going to buy a 360 just for one game.

I heard that it's for the gore and higher enemy count, but that sounds more like a nitpick and not a reason to guy out of your way to get the less accessable version of the same game with less content. Is their something i don't know about yet?
