Now he’s singing a different tune: After declaring he’s ready to face the ICC, Sen. Bato dela Rosa has backtracked, saying he might just flee. “If I no longer see justice here in our country, why will I surrender?”
He said that he was considering going into hiding to evade arrest.
On March 12, a day after former President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested on an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant, Dela Rosa declared: “If there is a warrant, I’m ready. I’ll take care of the President. That is my purpose. I’ll submit myself if there is a warrant.”
