Who makes the final (potentially 2) All NBA 1st team slot?
Right now, theres 4 players who are absolute locks for All NBA 1st team; Jokic, Shai, Tatum and Giannis. Out of them only Giannis is at real risk of missing out considering he has only played 57 games and thus needs 8 more.
Here are the genuine candidates:
- Anthony Edwards; 27.5 ppg/6 rebounds/ 4.5 assists on 54% EFG% or 59.8TS% playing 68/71 games. 5th in EW (EPM accounting for minutes played) and 8th in LEBRON WAR. 40-31 record, 1-2 without.
- Donovan Mitchell; 24 ppg/ 4.5 rebounds/ 5 assists on 53.7% EFG% or 58.2TS% playing 63/69 games on ONLY 31.4 mpg. 6th in EW and 7th in LEBRON WAR. 56-13 record, 6-0 without.
- Cade Cunningham; 25.5 ppg/ 6 rebounds/ 9 assists on 51.3% EFG% or 56.2TS% playing 65/70 games. 9th in EW, 20th in LEBRON WAR. 39-31 record, 2-3 without.
- Lebron James; 25 ppg/ 8 rebounds/ 8.5 assists on 58% EFG% or 60.9TS% playing 58/69 games. 33rd in EW and 16th in LEBRON WAR. 43-26 record, 6-5 without.
- Jalen Brunson; 26 ppg/ 3 rebounds/ 7.5 assists on 55% EFG% or 61.1% TS% playing 61/69 games. 23rd in EW and 17th in LEBRON WAR. 43-26 record, 4-4 without.
Personally think that Donovan Mitchell should get it, because how much his team is winning while having basically identical advanced stats and per 36 stats to Ant on slightly less efficiency.
I think Jalen Brunson is the least deserving because KAT leads him in advanced stats and the Knicks are not massively better than the Wolves, Lakers and Pistons while having another All NBA guy.
The final spot has fierce competition but who do you think deserves it?
